General Information Course Reserves
Please submit your reserve request before classes begin to allow sufficient time to process materials, and to purchase titles not owned by the library. Materials on reserve are removed at the end of each course.
Faculty can set up links to their electronic reserves through their department's course management systems (Blackboard) or to the Library's e-reserves system. If you would like more information or assistance please contact the Library's reserve coordinator. Whenever possible, materials should be provided to the library electronically.
The JFK Memorial Library policy for reserves, including electronic reserves, is based on the principle that the fair use provisions of the Copyright Act of 1976, Section 107 permit the making of copies of copyrighted material for classroom use as long as consistent with the four determining fair use factors.
Course Reserves are created upon instructor request to support a particular class. Materials are made available either online or physically through the JFK LIBRARY. Items that may be on reserve for a class include textbooks, articles, lecture notes, case studies, previous exams, and other supplementary readings as requested by course instructors.
