Members of the CSULA academic community are invited to read the seventh book in the OCOB series, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. The book's many themes are teachable from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Faculty and staff are encouraged to incorporate the book and related campus events into their curriculum. Community activities will be scheduled throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters 2014-15.
Shanghai Girls will be available at the University Bookstore at a 20% discount beginning Fall Quarter.
Reserve copies will also be available for check-out from the Circulation Desk of the University Library starting Fall Quarter 2014
The University Library, The Honors College, and The First Year Experience Program are pleased to announce their collaboration this year in celebrating Lisa See as the First Year Experience Reading (FYER) Project’s author for 2014-2015 and her novel Shanghai Girls as the One Campus One Book (OCOB) selection for 2014-2015.
