In business, innovation is centered around the development of radical new ideas that influence and help to re-invent processes, products, or organizations in order to make more money. The key idea behind innovation is the resulting increase in revenues. Many commentators refer to innovation as the ability to turn ideas into cash.

Researching innovation requires you to look at companies and industries and uncover their strategies for delivering new products or services in ways that generate more revenue and increase market-share. Innovation can also be tied to delivery of things like higher quality or better customer experiences.
